RMS Continues to Build World-Class Software Team, Names Paul Winsberg as Senior Vice President of Software Development
Former executive of OpenText, a leader in enterprise-integration services, brings more than 25 years of experience to RMS
NEWARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RMS, the world's leading catastrophe modeling firm, today announced the appointment of Paul Winsberg as senior vice president of software development. Reporting to RMS Chief Technology Officer Philippe Stephan, Winsberg and his team will lead software development for RMS(one)™, the company’s real-time exposure and risk-management cloud platform, purpose built for the global insurance, reinsurance and insurance-linked securities industries to manage all exposure and risk in one, open environment.

In this new role, Winsberg will manage software engineering and quality engineering worldwide for RMS. His responsibilities include RMS(one), RiskLink®, Risk Browser® and additional RMS products. Working with product management, model development and cloud operations, Winsberg will focus on product quality and engineering efficiencies.

Winsberg has more than 25 years of developer-leadership experience from enterprise technology companies such as OpenText and Hyperion Solutions. As vice president of product engineering at OpenText, he was responsible for strategy, planning and execution of next-generation development projects, multiple product lines and cloud offerings. In addition, he managed more than 100 engineers from waterfall to agile practices and created a team of offshore engineers. He received a bachelor’s of science degree in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of California at Berkeley.
