ITT Announces Nominations Are Open for Third Annual Heart of Industry and Pulse of Industry Awards
Give the gift of international recognition by nominating deserving companies and people
SENECA FALLS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nominations are open for the third annual Heart of Industry Awards and Pulse of Industry Honor Roll. These recognition programs were developed as part of Pump Appreciation Day – a worldwide celebration of pumps as the heart of industry that will take place Tuesday, April 8, sponsored by ITT Corporation’s Goulds Pumps, PRO Services and Bornemann brands.

The Heart of Industry Award recognizes industrial operations for excellence in using pump technology to improve plant processing, satisfy customers and enhance our modern way of life. Honors will go to companies or plants nominated by Goulds Pumps, PRO Services and Bornemann sales offices and distributors, with a limit of one award winner per office. Organizations using Goulds Pumps products and services are encouraged to contact their distributors to learn more.
Anyone in a pump-related industry has the opportunity to submit nominations for the Pulse of Industry Honor Roll. This individual recognition program is intended for people who want to commend co-workers and colleagues for their exceptional work in pump operations, maintenance or optimization.
A brief online nomination form is available at www.PumpAppreciationDay.com. Nominators have the option to include a photo and a short story about the nominee. Criteria for being honored include:
- Improving pump efficiency
- Providing outstanding maintenance
- Solving engineering or manufacturing challenges
- Exceeding expectations and providing extra effort to keep pumps running
- Advancing environmentally responsive practices
- Exemplifying high-quality customer service
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Feb. 28. Following an internal review process, officials representing ITT’s Goulds Pumps brand will add honorees’ names to the Honor Roll on www.PumpAppreciationDay.com. Chosen nominees for the Heart of Industry Award and the Pulse of Industry Honor Roll will be notified by e-mail and will also receive special recognition on Pump Appreciation Day.
