“50 Years of Women at Harvard Business School”
The event celebrated “50 Years of Women at Harvard Business School” and honored the achievements of 100 Women Alumnae who live and work in Northern California. The select group of honorees were nominated and chosen from over 1,200 women alumni who are or have been business leaders. They have made an impact through their leadership roles in both for-profit and non-profit organizations, while also volunteering time to give back to the broader community.
Francis founded The HBS Women of Northern California Fellowship Fund that was established in 2013 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of women being admitted to the two-year Harvard MBA program. The fellowship represents continuing commitment to encourage women in business. Annually, this need-based fellowship will be awarded to MBA students from Northern California who embody the characteristics of integrity, leadership, and excellence. Francis is a terrific example of this honor showcasing her accomplishments achieved in both her professional and community work to help make higher education more accessible by everyone.
