CallingPost is “Outreach on Steroids”
Multi-Denominational Leaders Discuss How to Effectively Engage and Follow Through
AUGUSTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--“In the past, our church was doing outreach by randomly casting our fishing poles in the middle of the lake from a simple john boat. Today, with the assistance of CallingPost, we can now do our fishing from a professional bass speed boat equipped with a high capacity fish finder.” Pastor Baxter Stanley, Senior Pastor at Augusta First Assembly of God, continued by stating, “CallingPost is like outreach on steroids!”
“I firmly believe that the message of the gospel should never change but the methodology needs to change. We are experts at doing events but we do poorly with the follow-up and the follow-up to the follow-up. I see what CallingPost has to offer as a tremendous, tremendous discipling tool”
CallingPost Communications, an Augusta-based communications solutions company, hosted a free Reach and Engage Workshop at The Salvation Army Kroc Center of Augusta. The event was attended by several multi-denominational pastors and church leaders from Macon, Athens, Lincolnton, and the surrounding metro Augusta, Georgia area.
Church leaders came together to exchange ideas and seek advice on implementing effective outreach strategies. Of particular interest were CallingPost’s recommendations on how to make the church’s follow-up strategies more important than the outreach event itself. In other words, the fish that are caught are more important than the mere act of fishing. Jesus called his followers to be fishers of men. CallingPost revealed how utilizing its tools will help churches better engage and move from talk to action. Implementing their integrated communication solutions and outreach tools helps mobilize church bodies in order to see God’s commandment fulfilled and His kingdom advanced. The natural result is growth of the church.
Dr. Dwayne Boudreaux, Director of Missions at Augusta Association of Baptist Churches, agreed that outreach must keep pace with the times. “I firmly believe that the message of the gospel should never change but the methodology needs to change. We are experts at doing events but we do poorly with the follow-up and the follow-up to the follow-up. I see what CallingPost has to offer as a tremendous, tremendous discipling tool,” Boudreaux emphasized.
