The TJX Companies, Inc. Reports November 2002 Sales

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2002--The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX) today reported November 2002 sales results. Sales for the four-week period ended November 30, 2002 were $1,150 million, up 7% over $1,077 million achieved during the four-week period ended December 1, 2001. For the 43 weeks ended November 30, 2002, sales reached $9,712 million, an increase of 12% over last year's $8,644 million. Consolidated comparable store sales for the four-week period ended November 30, 2002 decreased 1% against last year's 3% increase. For the 43-week year-to-date period, consolidated comparable store sales increased 3% over last year.
