FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 11, 2002--The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TJX) today reported June 2002 sales results. Sales for the five-week period ended July 6, 2002 were $1,073 million, up 12% over $957 million achieved during the five week period ended July 7, 2001. For the 22 weeks ended July 6, 2002, sales reached $4,667 million, an increase of 15% over last year's $4,067 million. Consolidated comparable store sales for the five-week period ended July 6, 2002 were 3% above last year. For the 22-week year-to-date period, consolidated comparable store sales increased 5% over last year.
