The LDU 50 is a DSP-based test head leveraging technology from its predecessor, the LDU 100, which has over 19,000 installations across Teradyne's worldwide installed base of 150 million lines. The LDU 50 supports all current 4TEL, 4TEL II and Celerity(R) functions and includes extended 5MHz wideband measurement capability for provisioning and service assurance testing of the copper plant to support broadband technologies (xDSL) and services (VoIP, IPTV). The LDU 50 also supports a services testing upgrade to provide an integrated physical and logical broadband test solution that fits into a single 1U test head.
With the LDU 50, network operators are able to extend their automated qualification, provisioning and service assurance testing capabilities to environmentally rugged locations, including fiber-fed remote cabinet installations.
