The National Environmental Performance Track program is designed to recognize and encourage top environmental performers - those who go beyond compliance with regulatory requirements to attain levels of environmental performance and management that benefit people, communities, and the environment. The EPA and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services reviewed the application and verified the Teradyne location has sustained compliance with environmental regulations. Teradyne's HPC manufacturing plant qualified for the program through its performance, continuous commitment to environmental compliance, and implementation of a strong Environmental Management System.
“Performance Track facilities represent a new generation of environmental leaders who have the vision to embrace the strategies that will protect the environment for generations to come”
"Performance Track facilities represent a new generation of environmental leaders who have the vision to embrace the strategies that will protect the environment for generations to come," said Dan Fiorino, director of EPA's Performance Incentives Division.
Teradyne's HPC manufacturing facility is located at 91 Northeastern Blvd in Nashua, NH, and is also certified to ISO 14001, the International Environmental Management Systems Standard. "Teradyne manages its operations on the principles of continuous improvement and maintains high standards of safety for our employees and for the environment," said Joan Girard, Environmental and Safety Manager for Teradyne's HPC facility. "Performance Track selection affirms Teradyne's commitment to go beyond compliance requirements and demonstrate exceptional environmental responsibility."
The Nashua factory is the second Teradyne facility to become a Performance Track member. Teradyne's North Reading Campus in North Reading, Massachusetts, became a charter member in the first round of selections in 2001 and renewed its commitment to the program in 2004.
EPA will formally recognize Teradyne's HPC facility and other new members at an event on April 12 as part of this year's National Environmental Partnership Summit held in Chicago, Illinois.
