The Aerospace Defense business, part of Teradyne's Connections Systems Division, designs and manufactures connectors and backplane assemblies for aerospace and defense applications. In 2000, the Aerospace Defense business had net sales of approximately $26 million. The acquisition will further strengthen Amphenol's leadership position as a supplier of aerospace interconnect systems. The transaction is expected to close later this month.
