Cambridge Silicon Radio Selects Teradyne`s MicroWAVE6000 for Bluetooth IC Testing at Atlantic Technology

BOSTON--()--July 5, 2000--Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER) announced today that CSR has selected Teradyne's MicroWAVE6000(TM) instrumentation on Catalyst test systems for testing Bluetooth(TM) devices. The multiple systems were shipped in Q1 2000 to Atlantic Technology in Wales, United Kingdom.

James Collier, Technical Director for CSR, said, "We selected Teradyne's MicroWAVE6000 on Catalyst because of the test coverage offered and the throughput these systems provide."

Mohammed Djadoudi, Worldwide Test Director for Atlantic Technology, said: "Teradyne Catalyst test systems allow us to cover the broad range of mixed- signal and RF devices. This MicroWAVE6000 system also gives us maximum utilization when testing RFICs with its automatic calibration features."

David Derian, Wireless Product Manager for Teradyne, said, "We designed our microwave instruments with companies like CSR and Atlantic Technology in mind. The range of options in both mixed-signal and microwave give them the flexibility to handle baseband to RF/microwave frequencies, including antenna-to-digital-bit devices, such as Bluetooth."

About MicroWAVE6000

Fully integrated within Catalyst and A5 test systems, MicroWAVE6000 is the only RF/microwave instrumentation available that also allows for complete system configuration flexibility for today's high-volume production environment. Catalyst and A5 systems can be configured as focused RF test solutions, with ample room for further instrument expansion, or as complete wireless SOC test solutions by augmenting MicroWAVE6000 with the full complement of Teradyne's mixed-signal AC, DC, and digital instrumentation. In addition, MicroWAVE6000 instrumentation can be added easily to Catalyst and A5 installed systems.
