"Our customers really value the single user interface with unified testing and reporting," says Mark MacLean, Product Manager for Hammer. "Because it means they don't have to 'cobble' together a multiple-box test solution. This latest release expands our feature set, allowing customers to generate additional complex, real-world traffic scenarios utilizing SS7, voice and FAX coverage", continued MacLean.
The new features are all controlled with a unified interface and take advantage of the same comprehensive report set, pre-loaded tests and pre- defined calling patterns offered in the first release of Hammer's DS3 test solution. Additionally, the new system requires only half the footprint of its predecessor.
The system is designed to enable users to rapidly create and apply tests. The system comes equipped with pre-defined tests but also enables users to create custom tests using a standard call flow ladder diagram and pre-coded telephony action objects. The innovative Call Profiler allows users to apply calling patterns that simulate different real world calling scenarios. These profiles include the Saw Tooth Pattern to simulate a busy calling hour, the Blast Pattern to provide stress level testing, and the Ramp Pattern for system longevity testing.
Release 2.0 will be available in June of 2000. Please contact Hammer directly for pricing information.
