WAYNE, Pa.--()--MEDecision, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative health care management solutions, has placed 21st (out of 100) on Modern Healthcare magazine’s list of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare. MEDecision was notified of the distinction on the same day it observed its 21st anniversary as a company.

Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare program honors outstanding employers in the health care industry on a national scale. It is intended to help organizations improve brand awareness, enhance recruiting efforts and strengthen employee morale. MEDecision was initially notified in September that it had made the list, however actual rankings were not made public until Monday.
“Placing this high on the list is extremely gratifying for us,” said Scott A. We want to be the best company we can be, and I think making the list of Best Places to Work in Healthcare indicates that we’re on a very solid footing and well positioned for growth and prosperity in the future.”
Modern Healthcare determined its Best Places to Work in Healthcare through a survey of employers detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Employees were asked a series of in-depth questions to help evaluate eight core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits, and overall satisfaction.
In addition to its #21 ranking on the Best Places to Work in Healthcare list, MEDecision picked up a similar honor last month when it was named one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania by the Central Penn Business Journal. The Best Places to Work in PA program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and the Central Penn Business Journal. It identifies, recognizes and honors the best places to be employed in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.
