MEDecision Opens 15th Annual User Conference

• Three-day event helps customers optimize care management

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MEDecision, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative health care management solutions, today kicked off its 15th Annual User Conference. The three-day event gathers representatives from throughout MEDecision’s health care payer client base for interactive workshops, seminars, presentations and other educational sessions designed to help them increase the effectiveness of health management programs through the optimal use of MEDecision technology.

This year’s User Conference attendees represent 24 nationwide health plans. The event will feature a keynote address from Paul H. Keckley, Ph.D., executive director of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions, a part of Deloitte LLP. Dr. Keckley will discuss the health care reform initiatives outlined in the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and look at some of the related issues emerging in Washington.

The second keynote speaker will be Nick Neuhausel, partner and executive vice president of Senn Delaney, a company widely recognized as the leader in shaping and transforming organizational corporate cultures. He will lead a workshop-style session focusing on how cultural health and high performance can help companies compete more effectively in today's challenging environment.

MEDecision will also reveal the winner of its Third Annual Innovation Award during the Annual User Conference Gala Dinner on Wednesday night. The honor recognizes the most unique implementation of a MEDecision solution. Previous winners include WEA Trust of Wisconsin and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware.

For the sixth consecutive year, MEDecision held its annual Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Forum one day prior to the start of the User Conference. The CMO Forum gathered physician executives and other clinical leaders from throughout MEDecision’s customer base for a series of interactive presentations and discussions on the successes and challenges associated with optimizing care management performance. American College of Physician Executives faculty members Martin Merry, M.D. and Eric Berkowitz, Ph.D. were the featured presenters.
