Humana Names Michael Franks Regional President of Senior Products for Company’s West Coast Region

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today that Michael Franks has been appointed regional president of Senior Products for Humana’s West Coast Region.

In this role, Franks is responsible for operational oversight of Humana’s Medicare HMO and PPO health plans, Medicare prescription drug plans, Medicare supplement policies, and private fee-for-service health plans offered to people eligible for Medicare in California, Arizona, Hawaii and Alaska. He will be based in Phoenix.

Franks most recently served as director of finance and provider engagement for Humana’s Great Lakes Region. Prior to that, he held a range of positions in network operations working with hospitals and physician groups for Humana’s commercial and Medicare business lines.

A certified public accountant and a chartered financial analyst charterholder, Franks graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
