Pixxel Secures Skip Maselli as Vice President of Public Sector via Benchmark Executive Search

The space data company building a constellation of hyperspectral earth imaging satellites and analytical tools lands veteran leader to drive strategic direction and growth in the US through top executive search firm

RESTON, Va.--()--Benchmark Executive Search, an award-winning search firm, announced today the placement of Skip Maselli as Vice President of Public Sector, USA for Pixxel, a space data company building a constellation of the world’s highest-resolution hyperspectral earth imaging satellites.

At Pixxel, Skip will be responsible for the organization’s continued growth in the US market and will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy focused on accelerated organic and inorganic growth. The position reports to Aakash Parekh, Chief Commercial Officer, Pixxel.

Based in the US with an Indian subsidiary, Pixxel is building the world’s first commercial satellite imaging and advanced data analytics capabilities. The constellation is designed to provide global coverage every 24 hours and help detect, monitor, and predict global phenomena. Pixxel’s data will service use cases across Climate Change, Agriculture, Environmental/Social/Governance, Public Sector, and Energy at a global scale.

For over 35 years, Skip has worked as a technologist and business leader within the commercial, defense and intelligence communities at leading companies such as Leidos, Maxar and Raytheon. Skip has managed a variety of programs developing and employing commercial space and airborne multispectral, imaging spectroscopy, and synthetic aperture radar technologies to support objectives in environmental monitoring and mitigation, natural resource assessments, land use measurements, and national security missions. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Monitoring and Digital Analytic Photogrammetry from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Philosophy from Dickinson College.
