What Installers Need to Know About Upgrading AFD Equipment for EMV Compatibility: New TNS Webinar Series

Educational sessions, sponsored by Verifone and presented by TNS, will cover key considerations for upgrading sites, including troubleshooting scenarios and common pitfalls

RESTON, Va.--()--With the April 2021 liability shift deadline for EMV compliance approaching, convenience and fuel retailers looking to upgrade their forecourt and other payment systems are invited to attend an instructional webinar offered by Transaction Network Services (TNS) in partnership with Verifone.

The webinar series is being delivered by TNS to present field installers with an overview of the TNSLink for Retail Managed Network Service Provider (MNSP) solution and help installers better understand the ease of setup and configuration for mutual retail customers.

“While some fuel retailers have been hesitant to upgrade, the reality is that the time is here to begin scheduling installations to eliminate the risk of being a remaining location targeted by fraudsters in a few months,” said Brian DuCharme, Vice President of Product Management at TNS. “Consumers have come to prefer CHIP and contactless acceptance. The Verifone upgrade, connected via the TNS MNSP solution, makes those possible. The good news is that upgrading is actually simpler and easier than some might assume, and our webinars will help take the mystery out of the process.”

Installers who attend a webinar can expect to gain practical insights for installing the equipment, including specific solution network layouts for Verifone MNSPs; troubleshooting scenarios and what to look out for; pitfalls of installation, common issues and trends; and how to get help. Verifone partner programs like the MNSP Certification Program help convenience retailers select the network connectivity provider that best supports their individual requirements to reduce complexities, streamline and simplify networking, and easily add new routes to their point-of-sale (POS) systems.

“Installers can educate their customers that deploying certified MNSP network solutions, like TNSLink, which connect purchases in-store and at the pumps using the latest technology, and can provide safer, more secure payments,” said DuCharme. “TNS is committed to helping merchants and making it easier for them to quickly and knowledgeably upgrade their equipment.”

TNS is certified as an MNSP by Verifone and Gilbarco and is a global Level 1 PCI DSS certified service provider. Retailers can use TNSLink to connect their payment devices securely and cost-effectively to the global payments community, to support multiple payment applications, and to provide improved uptime and increased productivity.
