NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Merchant Investment Management announced today that Matt Brinker, formerly of United Capital Financial Advisers, has joined the firm as a Managing Partner. The addition of Mr. Brinker is the latest in a series of strategic moves for Merchant, which has dramatically expanded its reach in the RIA market through a series of partnerships and other growth opportunities in the past year.
Mr. Brinker brings a full cycle of experience in the wealth management space to his new role at Merchant. As the chief business development officer and head of acquisitions at United Capital, he oversaw a period of significant expansion, until United Capital’s purchase by Goldman Sachs in 2019.

Mr. Brinker holds a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of California, Irvine Paul Merage School of Business, and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
