RICHMOND, Va.--()--EPIC Pharmacy Network, Inc. (EPN), the nationwide Pharmacy Services Administration Organization (PSAO), announced today the promotion of Luke Gordon to vice president of network development.

In addition to continuing his guiding role at PharmCAP, LLC, Gordon will now be responsible for negotiating with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and health plans on behalf of independent pharmacy members.

“Amidst the nationwide dialogue on PBM practices, drug costs, and pharmacy reimbursements, we knew that EPN needed a determined leader with a proven dedication to the success of independent pharmacies. Since taking the helm of PharmCAP in 2013, Luke has demonstrated ingenuity and a commitment to helping pharmacies easily navigate the complex world of compliance. We look forward to the results as he turns his attention to the managed care sector and EPN,” says President of EPN Jay Romero.

During his tenure as pharmacy regulatory and compliance director at PharmCAP, Gordon successfully overhauled the PharmCAP system and expanded the company threefold. He formed strategic partnerships with various compliance-related organizations, in turn, making PharmCAP a one-stop-shop compliance solution for independent pharmacies.

A wholly owned subsidiary of EPIC Pharmacies formed in 1992, EPIC Pharmacy Network (EPN) provides centralized contracting and administrative services to pharmacy benefit management (PBM) companies, HMOs, and other third-party payers for independent pharmacies across the United States.
