CIM Group Brings New Market Hall-Inspired Food and Beverage Concept to Jack London Square

OAKLAND, Calif.--()--CIM Group announced today that it has secured a long-term lease with John McEnery IV to bring an approximately 40,000-square-foot entertainment venue with novel food and beverage purveyors to Jack London Square, the premier 12-acre entertainment and business destination located on Oakland’s waterfront. Located at 55 Harrison, this will be the third and largest market concept for McEnery, the operator behind the popular San Pedro Square Market in San Jose and the Abbott Square Market in Santa Cruz.

Jack London Square’s new venue will feature an event and entertainment space, with a diverse array of culinary offerings and a signature bar in a bright, two-level public market-styled environment. Patrons will be able to enjoy the unobstructed San Francisco Bay views from the waterfront facing outdoor terraces located on the ground and second floor. The market also fronts a grassy area along the Bay, and is adjacent to CIM’s eight-story, residential development at 40 Harrison Street, currently under construction, which will feature 333 apartments and ground floor retail.

The addition of new residences and ongoing leasing activities at Jack London Square continues CIM’s program to bring a complementary mix of uses and offerings that appeal to residents and visitors, enhancing the vibrancy of the area with its many shopping, dining, entertainment, and recreation options on the San Francisco Bay. The lease with McEnery expands Jack London Square’s exceptional roster of restaurants and shops and also provides additional amenities for Jack London Square’s office tenants, which includes the Oakland A’s.

CIM Group brings its long-standing development and operational expertise including construction management, property management and leasing to enhance Jack London Square and provide underserved real estate uses and new concepts to the area as it has done in other communities across North America.

CIM Group’s in-house leasing team, along with Lockehouse represented Jack London Square, and Colliers International represented the tenant in the transaction. For more information about Jack London Square, please visit: www.jacklondonsquare.com.
