BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mercku is bringing its new M2 Wi-Fi router and M2 Hive Wi-Fi system—the highest performing router products available today—to IFA Berlin 2018. Mercku recently shipped the first M2 Hive systems to its Indiegogo backers, who led the campaign to 455 percent of its goal. Now the system will become available in b8ta retail stores in 13 cities across the U.S. as well as on Amazon and Indiegogo in September. Mercku will demonstrate how the M2 Hive improves Wi-Fi speed and connectivity at booth #173 in Hall 26 from August 31 to September 5, 2018.

Its ability to provide 3,000 square feet of coverage (depending on the layout) and support up to 60 devices makes it ideal for the smart home as more appliances and other devices require connectivity. The M2 Hive includes an M2 and four powerful extenders, aptly called Bees, to create a system that can cover up to 5,000 square feet and goes around walls, offering connection speeds that support multiple 8K streaming devices throughout a house. Each Bee is light and portable and plugs into outlets to form a strong mesh network. Set up is simple: Just plug the M2 in and use the Bees to expand connectivity, amplify the Wi-Fi signal, and eliminate all dead spots in a home office or entertainment room, for example.
All configurations of your home internet can be controlled by the M2 Wi-Fi app, which shows the speed coming into and out of the router to help pinpoint bottlenecks, and allows you to manage users with extensive guest and parental controls. You can limit bandwidth for specific devices using the app, so a child can’t stream movies past their bedtime, for example. You can also block devices or re-prioritize devices as needed if one is using too much bandwidth.
With the ability to push over-the-air enhancements via the app, Mercku will constantly improve the Wi-Fi experience with system updates to add port forwarding, dynamic DNS, heightened security algorithms, a VPN client, and more. In addition, a new feature will be added next month, enabling users to give guests and new devices access to the private network without having to share the Wi-Fi password.
