SOUTH AMBOY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RoboKiller, the app that gets revenge on robocalls with Answer Bots, shared data from its Robocall Data Tracker indicating the total number of unwanted telemarketing calls placed to Americans crossed the 5 billion call mark for the first time in July.
According to RoboKiller, the already bloated problem began to spike in May with a reported 3.7 billion calls and has continued to explode through the summer. Americans now see an average of 19 spam calls per month, many of which are scams targeting the most vulnerable populations.

The Robocall Data Tracker further showed that Texas was the hardest hit region with six of the top ten most impacted area codes located in the Lonestar state. Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York were also heavily impacted in July.
