7th Annual Intellisight Investor Conference Expands Offerings

MINNEAPOLIS--()--CFA Society Minnesota hosts its 7th Annual Intellisight investor conference, the largest of its kind put on by a non-profit, for the finance industry. This open-access (non-broker-based), buy-side driven conference is scheduled for Aug. 14-15 at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in downtown Minneapolis.

Unlike any other investor conference in the country, you can pick and choose from a notable list of speakers, educational opportunities, company presentations and 1x1 meetings. You can attend all or part of the day on Aug. 14, 15 or both.

New this year includes an entire day of professional education on Aug. 14 featuring expert speakers and panels on ESG (environmental, social and governance), Municipal Bonds and Cryptocurrency / Blockchain Technology.

The first day will close with a “Great Debate” on active versus passive investing, moderated by James Bailey, CFA, SVP, Managing Director PNC Bank, with active-style team members: David Royal, Chief Investment Officer at Thrivent Financial and Sheila Berube, CFA, Independent Consultant, and passive-style team members: Susanna Gibbons, CFA, Managing Director at Carlson Funds Enterprise, and Daniel Romito, Global Head of Investor Analytics at NASDAQ. Conference attendees will have an opportunity to vote electronically for the winning debate team.

Day two of the conference includes presentations and 1x1 meetings with executives from 40+ companies representing six industry sectors and an aggregate market value of $6 billion in total market cap. An expert panel discussion will take place over the lunch hour moderated by Evan Ramstad, Business Team Leader at StarTribune. Panel members include Bob Deere, Portfolio Manager with Dimensional Funds, Jessica Murray CFA, Portfolio Manager at Thrivent Financial, and Scott Opsal, CFA, Director of Research at The Leuthold Group, LLC.
