LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Healthy Housing Foundation by AHF (HHF) presents the Young Moviemakers of America’s Annual Youth Documentary Series Premiere at the AHF Theatre at 6500 Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90028 at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
Young Moviemakers of America hosted a ten-week workshop to educate youth in Compton, California, about movie editing, mixing, shooting and producing. Students were not only taught how to develop film scripts, use a camera or light a scene, but also team building and life skills. At the end of the workshop students produced their own short documentaries.
“Our students were able to enhance their overall writing, reading and vocabulary skills,” said YMA Founder, Moon McMillan, a Film and Video Production Major from El Camino College. “It was amazing to see how creative and dedicated the students were to producing their documentaries. I am positive that our Compton youth will have a bright future in the entertainment industry.”

- Compelling story about a young athletic baseball player.
Guests will also enjoy sounds from DJ Young 1 and food from a local food truck on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the AHF Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, during the movie premiere.
Young Moviemakers of America (YMA), is a non-profit organization that works with the youth to create customized digital projects.
