On July 11, 2018, analyst Rota Fortunae published a report on SeekingAlpha which accused Farmland Partners of “artificially increasing revenues by making loans to related-party tenants who round-trip the cash back [ ] as rent.” The report further accuses Farmland Partners of failing to disclose that the majority of its land have been made to members of the management team, and that the Company overpaid for properties.
