CTA to Send the Next Generation of Tech Media to CES – the Global Stage for Innovation

CES Tech Media Trailblazers program seeks promising and talented junior media

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) – owner and producer of CES® - today announced the launch of its CES Tech Media Trailblazers program. The program will award 25 up-and-coming media travel and accommodation for CES 2019, the world's gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, which is set for Jan. 8-11, 2019, in Las Vegas.

The CES Tech Media Trailblazers program is designed to introduce new media to CES and educate them on how to maximize time, discover newsworthy content and navigate different areas of the show floor. The program will also include special events, exclusive opportunities with CES executives and more. Nominate a Trailblazer now.

This elite group will discover life-changing tech making the world a better place from all major and emerging industries at CES 2019.”

With more than 6,500 media and 4,500 exhibitors expected to attend, CES 2019 is the proving ground for transformative tech. More than 250 CES conference sessions will reflect diverse perspectives and are committed to showcasing traditionally under-represented communities within the technology industry. Attendees can expect to experience the latest in 5G connectivity, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, smart home, smart cities, sports technology, robotics, machine learning and more. Companies of all sizes come to launch product, build brands and partner to solve some of today’s most pressing societal challenges.

Media can self-nominate or be nominated by a peer or superior. The following requirements must be met to be considered for the CES Tech Media Trailblazers program:

  • Less than three years working at current media outlet.
  • Less than three times attending CES.
  • Covers technology, business or a relevant CES topic.
  • Must share three relevant pieces of work (articles, broadcast clips, podcast, etc).
  • Must be able to attend CES Media Days and CES 2019.
    • At least one of the Media Days (January 6-7).
    • At least two days of CES 2019 (January 8-11, 2019).
  • Media outlet must meet CES media credential requirements.

The nomination period closes Sept. 17, 2018. A judging panel will select 25 journalists to participate in the program. CTA is committed to showcasing traditionally under-represented communities within the technology industry. The CES Tech Media Trailblazers class of 2019 will be announced Nov. 8, 2018, at CES Unveiled New York.
