T-System Names Dr. Robert Hitchcock General Manager to Oversee Strategy and Growth of Documentation Business

Practicing emergency care physician to help company streamline processes and continue as emergency care documentation leader

DALLAS--()--Standing true to providing end-to-end emergency care solutions for clinicians by clinicians, T-System, Inc. has named Dr. Robert Hitchcock to the position of EVP and general manager, documentation. Dr. Hitchcock, a current practicing physician, now serves as the senior executive leading the company’s documentation business through facilitating collaboration amongst the company’s multiple facets to streamline processes. In this position, Dr. Hitchcock will help lead T-System in organic and inorganic growth to continue being the leader in the emergency care and urgent care technology market.

“On a personal note, I take great satisfaction in Dr. Hitchcock’s success, as he has done an exceptional job over the last several months in helping evolve several business areas, including our delivery, operations and sales support,” said Roger Davis, president and CEO of T-System. “His clinical background, deep industry knowledge and commitment to the T-System mission make him the perfect person to lead our documentation business team.”

Dr. Hitchcock’s transition to a top leader in the company can be attributed to his intimate knowledge of the company’s lines of business, having worked across all of them.

After more than 10 years of working for the company, Dr. Hitchcock can point directly to where it all began. Using T-System as a practicing ED physician, he fell in love with the efficiency the electronic documentation system offered, which allowed him to spend more time with patients. He shared his success with a T-System sales representative, resulting in numerous opportunities for Dr. Hitchcock to articulate his beneficial experience with other physicians.

“The reason I do what I do is because when I practice medicine, I can help 35 patients a day, and when I work for T-System, I can help 35,000 patients each day,” said Dr. Hitchcock. “I believe that streamlining care documentation in the EDs and urgent care centers truly enhances patient care. I am confident that my passion, along with my experience, will help us grow as a customer-centric business so more emergency care physicians and patients experience the same benefits that my patients and I were able to.”

Dr. Hitchcock remains a practicing physician in addition to his position at T-System, sharing his in-depth understanding of how T-System solutions benefit healthcare providers and their patients. Moving to general manager allows him to leverage his comprehensive knowledge of each T-System department and clinical background to grow a business that helps emergency department and urgent care centers cut costs, streamline IT processes, and improve patient care and outcomes.
