Iyad Tarazi and Mike Hart to Discuss the Future of Connectivity and Bringing High-Performance Wireless Services Indoors

WHO: In a keynote following FCC Commissioner Mike O’Rielly, Federated Wireless CEO Iyad Tarazi will hold a fireside chat with Mike Hart, CTO, Vivint Internet & SVP Engineering, Vivint Smart Home. In a panel session preceding Ajit Pai, Chairman of the FCC Commission, Kurt Schaubach, CTO at Federated Wireless, will discuss the new underlying technology that makes shared spectrum possible.

WHAT: Iyad Tarazi, in a one-on-one discussion with Mike Hart, entitled “The Future of Connectivity: Innovation Through Private LTE Network Services,” will discuss how CBRS promises to disrupt the traditional wireless business models we know today. They will explore the potential for private LTE networks leveraging shared spectrum to serve customers in neighborhoods and offices with high-performance wireless services. The session will provide unique insight into a new connectivity services model, bringing together the perspectives of both a software solutions supplier and a network services operator.

The panel session where Kurt Schaubach is speaking, “Understanding the Spectrum Access Systems (SAS) – and the 3-Tiered Spectrum Sharing Framework,” will include a comprehensive overview of the unique Spectrum Access System (SAS) and Environmental Sensing Capability (ESC) network that will securely and dynamically manage commercial access to 3.5 GHz spectrum.
