HEALTH MONITOR NETWORK BRINGS THREE NEW SENIOR EXECUTIVES TO ITS HIGH-PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Strategic Additions to Help Guide Company Through Period of Explosive Growth

Health Monitor Network, the leading direct-to-patient (DTP) engagement company in the United States, has provided award-winning publications and digital products in healthcare providers’ waiting and exam rooms for 35 years. To support its aggressive growth plans, both for the company as well as for its rapidly expanding network of digital patient-education products, Health Monitor has added three senior executives to its management team: Howard Halligan, chief financial officer; Christopher O’Toole, senior vice president, sales, advocacy, and alliances; and Robb DeFilippis, senior vice president, operations.

“Health Monitor Network’s exponential growth is a direct result of the amazing people we have at all levels of our organization. We are further solidifying our senior leadership with the hiring of Howard Halligan, Christopher O’Toole, and Robb DeFilippis, three successful and transformational leaders with track records of guiding organizations through change and driving growth,” said Health Monitor Network president Ken Freirich.

Howard Halligan has over 20 years’ experience in launching and developing diverse businesses within the media and advertising industry, with proven success in maximizing financial performance. Before joining Health Monitor Network, he served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, North America at Trusted Media Brands, where he established the direct-selling start-up, Taste of Home Entertaining, Inc., and collaborated on the launch of Every Day with Rachael Ray, an Ad Age “Magazine Launch of the Year.” As CFO of several of the company’s divisions, he also negotiated the acquisition and sale of various business units.

Christopher O’Toole brings over 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceuticals industry and service businesses. He has held senior management positions with medical-marketing consultancies, including president of a division of Quintiles, and vice president of marketing for the healthcare branch of Pearson PLC, a multinational publishing and education company. He was president of Avant Healthcare Communications and a member of the executive leadership team of its parent company, DWA Healthcare Communications Group. In 2006, Chris co-founded a business and product development consultancy, Nine-TZ Healthcare Ventures, that worked with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He is an Executive Advisory Board Member of the Galien Foundation, an organization that fosters, recognizes, and rewards excellence in scientific innovation that improves the state of human health.

Robb DeFilippis offers 25 years of marketing operations and business excellence leadership. He has led global design, production, development, and operations teams in the creation of award-winning work for consumer as well as pharma and wellness clients. Robb’s prior executive leadership experience includes senior level operations positions at McCann Health (Interpublic), Grey Healthcare Group (WPP), Pointroll (Gannett), and Deutsch. Most recently he was SVP, executive director of operations and production at Saatchi & Saatchi (Publicis Groupe).

Health Monitor Network is still aggressively recruiting talent nationwide to support its robust growth.
