Keynote presentations will highlight how hybrid cloud analytics will deliver greater option value to customers; how augmented analytics can boost the speed to insights for all users; how associative big data indexing will change how customers derive insights from greater combinations of data; and how Qlik will advance its portfolio leveraging the latest technology innovations to drive greater insight from smart intuitive analytics. Qlik Sense® and QlikView® certification exams will also be offered.

Data Literacy experts Valerie Logan, Research Director at Gartner Research and Rahul Bhargava, MIT Media Lab Research Scientist, will speak on the importance of data literacy and the ability of knowledge workers to be able to read, work with, understand and argue with data.

“After a great debut in 2017, we’re honored that Jedox has been invited as a Diamond Sponsor to this year’s Qonnections conference,” said Kay-Ingo Greve, CEO at Jedox. “Jedox enables Qlik users to expand their Qlik Sense dashboards with powerful planning, budgeting and forecasting functionality. We will showcase how Qlik customers can be more competitive by transforming Qlik insights into execution – integrating their BI platform with an enterprise-class strategic and operational planning solution.”

Teams have been presented with several challenges involving Qlik Corporate Responsibility partner C40 Cities to tackle climate change with data from the world’s megacities. Developers must use web skills, data and Qlik Sense to achieve new insights and visualizations that best address the challenge. Every Hackathon participant will have access to Qlik® Branch, a collaborative workspace and open exchange, and support from internal Qlik experts moderating the event.

Qlik Late Night Lunacy. This contest uncovers the very best app building skills and development talent using Qlik Sense capabilities and functionalities. Contestants will form teams of two, three, or four developer fanatics, demo experts, or app magicians that are ready to push the boundaries on a user adoption business scenario.
