1010data’s Recent Summit Dedicated to Leveraging the Power of Its Insights Platform Offered Attendees Valuable Learning and Networking Opportunities

NEW YORK--()--1010data, a leader in self-service advanced analytics, hosted hundreds of leaders in data analytics from more than 100 companies at its Discovery Summit 2017. The event, which took place on October 5 in New York City, featured presentations from Sprouts, Rite Aid, Johnson & Johnson, Clorox and Equifax, among others. Multiple industries were represented at the event, including retail, fixed income, media, gaming and hospitality.

The theme for the event was “Insight. Action. Impact,” in keeping with the benefits of the 1010data Insights Platform, which provides businesses with the tools to gain valuable insights about their business and impact their performance. Attendees saw demos on how best to leverage the platform and had first-hand interactions with the new solutions offered by 1010data. Partners showcased solutions built on the Insights Platform, and 1010data analysts demoed version 11, new interfaces functionality and updates to the Consumer Insight Platform.

“Customers and partners enjoyed educational and collaborative sessions showcasing their experiences with 1010data,” said Steve Albert, chief revenue officer at 1010data. “While 1010data prides itself on empowering its customers with our own training and expertise, the most valuable networking takes place between peers, and attendees of our Discovery Summit had quality face time with other industry leaders. That’s in addition to the time spent with our analysts, learning about upcoming features from both 1010data and our partners.”

Highlights of the event were a sunset cruise around Manhattan, as well as the keynote: “An Afternoon with Daniel Kahneman,” author of Thinking Fast and Slow, winner of a 2002 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences and notable for his work on the psychology of judgment, decision making and behavioral economics.

Bill Franks, Chief Analytics Officer for The International Institute For Analytics (IIA) and top-ten big data influencer, also presented. His talk, “The Industrial Revolution of Analytics Is Here,” addressed the technological, organizational and cultural points that must be considered to succeed in making big data actionable and operational.

Attendees received copies of the most recent books authored by Kahneman and Franks.

Dates for Discovery Summit 2018 will be announced soon.
