The 6th Annual Innovate Conference is almost here! Nov. 15th, 2017

“Bringing Data to Life – Consumer Directed Precision Health”

In cooperation with Vibrent Health, Virginia Bio, and the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce

FAIRFAX, Va.--()--Vibrent Health announces the 6th annual Innovate conference on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the Inova Center for Personalized Health, in Fairfax, Va.

Innovate’s theme this year is “Bringing Data to Life – Consumer Directed Precision Health.” The conference will bring together a group of leaders and innovators from companies, research universities, and institutions who are working at the intersection of digital innovation, health, and medicine. Each is involved in a different and significant way at the convergence of healthcare, multi-omics, electronic health records (EHRs), environment and lifestyle. Innovations in various technologies such as mobile apps, wearable sensors, IT, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and telecom can enable the goal to transform personalized health data into real-life solutions for each consumer.

The meeting is a unique opportunity to connect with top experts in a fast-growing field that is rich with opportunities for the region.

Thought leaders from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), MedImmune, Vibrent Health, Virginia Tech, the National Science Foundation (NSF), Children’s National Health System, and the Virginia Biotechnology Association are among the speakers and panel experts.

“Business and technology, university and big institution leaders – top experts will discuss where digital and mobile technology intersect with health. We are coming together -- taking the first steps and actions -- toward building something long-lasting,” said Virginia Bio CEO Jeffrey Gallagher.

Experts will also discuss how capturing health data will provide a toolbox for individuals and researchers and will accelerate fresh, imaginative new approaches to disease prevention and healthy living.

“Personal health data is spread across so many different systems and places. We want to make that data available to each and every consumer for the span of their life,” said Vibrent Health CEO Praduman Jain.

“Information on an individual’s genomics, environment, the medications they take and how those medicines interact with other drugs, their electronic health records, symptoms, behaviors, and activities – things that matter every day – that data will return dividends back to the consumer,” Jain said.

The convergence of digital technologies and biomedicine is unleashing a thrilling new chapter and will offer opportunities that will improve health and cure disease. Companies and research institutions in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland are playing key roles and breaking new ground.

“This topic is cutting edge and relevant for business and for the future well-being of the community,” said John Boylan, President and CEO of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Gallagher added, “There will be huge benefits to patients, to our communities. Let’s get in on the ground floor, collaborate, and accelerate the precision health industry in our region.”
