Darlene Murphy, President and Co-Founder of Wellesley Asset Management, Receives Prominent Rankings by Boston Globe and Working Mother Magazine

WELLESLEY, Mass.--()--Darlene Murphy of Wellesley Asset Management has received two prominent rankings.

Published in the October 29, 2017 Boston Globe Magazine’s “Women & Power” issue, Darlene Murphy, CPA, CFP®, President and Co-Founder of Wellesley Asset Management was named a Top 100 Woman-Led Business Leader in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe in partnership with The Commonwealth Institute. This is the sixth consecutive year that Ms. Murphy has been included in this prestigious list of women leaders.

This select group of female leaders were chosen based on a variety of factors including revenues, workplace and management diversity, and innovation. The top 100 were honored at an award ceremony breakfast on October 27, 2017 in Boston.

Additionally, on October 3, 2017, Ms. Murphy and Wellesley Asset Management were included in the inaugural “Top Wealth Adviser Moms” list published in Working Mother magazine in partnership with SHOOK Research. Criteria for the “Top Wealth Adviser Moms” list included investing process, client retention, industry experience, compliance record, assets under management and revenue. All of the advisers on the list are moms to children under the age of 18.

“I am honored and humbled to be included on these two important lists,” said Darlene Murphy. “The world of financial advice and the business world in general, are still very male dominated and it is exciting to see so many women succeeding in business. As a mother to two wonderful boys, I’m pleased to know that there are other financial advisers who are balancing work and family as well.”

Michael Miller, Chief Investment Officer of Wellesley Asset Management, said the following: “I’m very pleased to see Darlene and other female advisers and leaders formally recognized. Statistics and demographic trends reveal that women control an increasing proportion of wealth in the U.S. Our strategy of investing in convertible bonds can offer unique opportunities for women or anyone seeking to grow and protect the wealth they’ve achieved.”

Greg Miller, CPA, CEO, Portfolio Manager and Co-Founder said, “We are very pleased in our 26th year of business, to be receiving recognition from so many different sources. However, our most important accolades come from our clients, who “vote” for us every day by entrusting us with their wealth.”
