Discover Student Loans Gives $20,000 to Help One Lucky Student Pay Their College Tuition

RIVERWOODS, Ill.--()--Madison Engel, from Gum Spring, Virginia, and a junior at James Madison University, was named the winner of the College Tuition Scholarship from Discover Student Loans. The 2017 scholarship award will help Madison cover up to $20,000 for college tuition.

“My schedule is already pretty full with balancing my chemistry coursework, exams and extracurricular activities, so it was such an amazing feeling when I found out I won the scholarship from Discover Student Loans,” said Engel. “The scholarship allowed me to focus on school and to have less loans to pay off once I graduate.”

“We are happy to help Madison by awarding her this scholarship and hope it leads to more students taking advantage of the millions of dollars in free money available through grants and scholarships,” said Mike Boush, senior vice president of Discover Student Loans.

From June 19 through July 31, participants entered online at DiscoverStudentLoans.com. No purchase or student loan was necessary to enter or win.

Discover Student Loans provides additional scholarship opportunities, including a $2,500 scholarship and a free scholarship search engine with access to over 3 million awards. For more information, visit DiscoverStudentLoans.com.
