Sevatec Expands Corporate Innovations Team, Hires Chief Solutions Architect for Agile and DevSecOps

Former DHS USCIS Division Chief Joshua Seckel Will Support Sevatec’s Industry-Leading Agile Practice

FAIRFAX, Va.--()--Sevatec, Inc. (Sevatec), a leading National Security firm delivering Agile Development and DevSecOps, Data Sciences, Cyber Engineering, and Cloud solutions for the federal government, is pleased to announce that Joshua Seckel has joined the company as Chief Solutions Architect for Agile/DevSecOps.

An industry-recognized expert in the Agile community, Seckel has led the transformation and modernization of federal IT during his tenure as a Division Chief within DHS USCIS. He understands first-hand the organizational dynamics, cultural impediments, and enterprise strategies to effectively implement Agile and DevSecOps across IT portfolios.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Josh into Sevatec’s Innovations Team (I-Team) as a cornerstone of our growing Agile & DevSecOps practice,” said Michael Dallara, Sevatec’s COO. “As a member of our I-Team, Josh will engage with both our Growth and Operations Teams to introduce strategies for Agile adoption and support enterprise modernization initiatives that ensure we advance our customer’s mission objectives and achieve our aggressive long-term growth objectives.”

Seckel brings more than 20 years of experience leading development of software solutions for federal entities, including DHS USCIS, ICE, CBP, and TSA, as well as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Technology Innovation Management from Pacific Lutheran University, is an ICAgile Certified Agile Coach, and is a highly sought-after speaker in the Agile community.

Commenting on his appointment, Seckel said, “The opportunity to join a company with an established and highly-regarded Agile practice within the government space was quite enticing. When you include working on the Sevatec business agility transformation, alongside industry experts like John Hughes, it made my decision that much simpler. I look forward to continuing to transition additional federal government agencies to modern IT delivery practices through Agile and DevSecOps best practices.”
