Stackla Named Top Five Best Place to Work in Australia and Continues Growth in Asia-Pacific with New Sales Head

UGC Leader Hires Enterprise Sales Veteran, Gareth Williams, to Continue Enterprise Expansion in Asia-Pacific Region

SYDNEY--()--Stackla, the leading enterprise user-generated content (UGC) platform, today announced its recognition as one of the nation's best workplaces by Australia’s Great Place to Work® Institute along with the appointment of Gareth Williams as Head of Revenue in Asia-Pacific.

Stackla was named the fifth best place to work in the ‘under 100 employees’ category of the Best Places to Work study, 2017. Australia’s annual Best Places to Work study uncovers the world’s most notable workplace cultures and highlights what makes them great.

“We’re incredibly honoured to be ranked number five in a workplace study as reputable as this. It is a true indication of the level of engagement amongst our employees and testament to the progressive approach of our leadership team,” said Jade Mackenzie, Global VP of People & Culture at Stackla. “We know the high-trust, high-empowerment culture and genuine camaraderie we have here is something special. Although we’re still an early stage business, we’ve always aimed to offer our people world-class employee programs and to create an environment in which they can thrive. This award is wonderful reinforcement.”

In addition to their recent award, Stackla has brought on Gareth Williams to lead the Asia-Pacific sales team in the continued enterprise expansion of Stackla in the region that has added leading brands like Expedia, Kathmandu, Nintendo, McDonalds and Mitsubishi to join their list of long-time customers such as the Australian Football League (AFL), Canon, the National Rugby League (NRL) and Toyota.

“Stackla’s A.I.-powered UGC platform is unmatched globally and trusted by some of APAC’s biggest brands. Gareth will help us realise the massive opportunity for growth that remains throughout the region,” said Stackla CEO and Co-Founder Damien Mahoney. “Australia, specifically, is important to Stackla: it’s where we started and where our Asian headquarters is. We have invested heavily in building a great team and culture there, and we will continue to make sure that Stackla attracts and retains the country’s best talent.”

Williams brings over 15 years of experience building, leading and scaling sales teams in Asia-Pacific. Prior to Stackla, he was an Enterprise Account Manager at Adobe Australia, where he led their digital marketing business, enabling rapid digital transformation for some of Australia's biggest brands. Williams also served as Enterprise Sales Manager at Marketo, helping cement the company’s Asia-Pacific presence, and held various strategic sales roles in enterprise companies including Salesforce and Oakton.

“I believe Stackla’s platform is one of the next must-have technologies for marketers as consumers increasingly seek more personalised, authentic experiences from brands,” Williams said. “I look forward to leading Stackla’s Asia-Pacific enterprise expansion and am excited to help the region’s biggest brands use UGC to improve customer engagement, strengthen consumer trust and drive sales.”

Williams’ hire comes on the heels of significant company momentum at Stackla, including a major partnership with Episerver, the launch of the company’s new machine learning technology, Co-Pilot, and the debut of a new philanthropic initiative, Stackla for Good.
