Blues group brings rock ‘n’ roll to The Event Center stage

PHILADELPHIA--()--Five-time Grammy®-nominated contemporary blues group Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will bring its blues/rock sound to the SugarHouse Casino Event Center on Friday, Nov. 10, at 9 p.m. Tickets for the band’s performance can be purchased beginning Friday, Sept. 15, and cost $39-$49.

Fresh off its latest release, “Lay It On Down,” the band features Kenny Wayne Shepherd and long-time members Noah Hunt and Chris Layton, along with bassist Kevin McCormick and keyboardist Joe Krown. For blues and rock music fans, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band delivers a powerhouse concert, performing their hit songs including the album’s lead singles “Diamonds & Gold” and “Baby Got Gone.”

Known for its distinctive blues-infused rock ‘n’ roll sound, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band is an industry success, having earned five Grammy® nominations, two Blues Music Awards and two Billboard Music Awards.

With a career that spans more than 20 years, the band’s front man, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, is regarded as one of the most talented guitarists of his generation, having earned two Orville H. Gibson awards – an honor given to world-class guitarists. Not only has Shepherd received critical acclaim as a guitarist, he’s scored eight No. 1 blues albums and a string of No. 1 mainstream rock singles over the span of his career, including “Alive” and “Blue on Black.”
