DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last night, Starpower Home Entertainment Systems, Inc. (“Starpower”), was awarded “Best Showroom” at the 2017 CEDIA Awards. The ceremony took place aboard the prestigious USS Midway in San Diego, California.
Starpower was amongst 32 esteemed competitors in nomination for the award. Nominees were located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. To ensure the highest standards of evaluation for each entry, showroom submissions were voted on by a global panel of judges from the worlds of architecture, interiors, property, IT, smart home journalism and custom installation.
Awards for the evening covered a variety of areas, and ranged from “Best Innovative Solution” to “Best Showroom,” which Starpower won.
“This award is a high honor for us. We respect CEDIA and were proud to be nominated for our incredible Southlake Showroom. We believe people want to actively engage when making buying decisions for their home. Our showrooms provide a physical design space where we can meet this inherent need,” says Daniel Pidgeon, Chairman of Starpower. “This store focuses on the intimate relationship between the products and the user, giving it a unique feeling,” adds the former Chairman of the Consumer Technology Association.
Starpower, an industry leader in audio/video technology, has established a national reputation for their upscale product offerings and custom installation capabilities, throughout their 22 years of serving the greater DFW area. Their new 15,000 square foot showroom in Southlake, Texas also features high-end appliances from Ed Kellum & Son, a Dallas-based appliance retailer since 1948.
“In a time when many retailers are floundering, Starpower is thriving. Our innovative showrooms and lifestyle displays focus on solutions rather than just products. Our Southlake showroom reflects our passion and creativity, a foundation of our company since its inception in 1995. Beyond the multi-million dollar investment, this showroom unlocks the imagination and allows our clients’ dreams to become a reality,” says David Pidgeon, President and CEO.
The award-winning showroom features architectural and interior design from renowned Limited Brands architect Phil White of Columbus, Ohio. The space features various interactive technology displays right alongside working kitchens and major appliances.
