--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Peanuts Worldwide:
Jeannie Schulz, widow of Charles M. Schulz, invites you on a private tour of the irresistible “Snoopy & Belle In Fashion” international traveling exhibition, debuting at Brookfield Place New York on Thursday, September 7.
As New York Fashion Week swirls into town this week, members of the public can enjoy—for free—their own high-fashion show: a unique (and fetching) collection of 12” vinyl Snoopy and Belle dolls bedecked in custom couture outfits by the world’s biggest designers. These include ensembles created especially for New York by Oscar de la Renta, Monse and Hamilton Tony Award winner Paul Tazewell (who made miniature versions of his Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler Hamilton costumes for Snoopy and Belle).
The fashion spectacular also features one-of-a-kind designs from: Anna Sui, Ashley Biden x Livelihood, Barbara Tfank, Betsey Johnson, Bibhu Mohapatra, Calvin Klein Collection, Children of our Town, Christian Siriano, Colleen Atwood, Costello Tagliapietra, Cristiano Burani, Diane Von Furstenberg, DKNY by Donna Karan, Dries Van Noten, DSquared2, Edwin Oudshoorn, Emanuel Ungaro, Hanna Anderson, Isaac Mizrahi, Isabel Marant, J. Mendel, Jenna Dewan Tatum x Danskin, Kaviar Gauche, Kenneth Cole, Le Mont St Michel, Le Snob, Levi’s, Lisa Perry, MAC Cosmetics, Macario Jimenez, Marta Larsson, Ocean Pacific, Opening Ceremony, Philip Treacy, Rachel Zoe, Rodarte, Royal Asscher x Pluma, Stetson, Swarovski, tokidoki, Tracy Reese, Trussardi, Venera Arapu, VPL by Victoria Bartlett, William Rast, and Zac Posen.
In addition to Jeannie Schulz, collaborating designers confirmed to attend the evening event listed below include Paul Tazewell, Costello Tagliapietra, Bibhu Mohapatra, Marta Larsson, Barbara Tfank, Edwin Oudshoorn, Ashley Biden. List in progress.
Schulz and Melissa Menta, producer of the exhibit and SVP at Peanuts Worldwide, can offer behind-the-scenes stories for each design, including:
- Diane Von Furstenberg creating the world’s smallest version of her signature wrap dress for Belle.
- Colleen Atwood paying homage to two of the films for which she won Oscars, transforming Snoopy into the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland and Belle into a Geisha girl from Memoirs of a Geisha.
- Betsey Johnson going wild with miniature embellishments, including pink hair, reminiscent of the designer’s own 80s punk rocker days.
