These appraisal ratings position A-TEK as a competitive woman-owned small business with improved and mature processes to support federal health and national security missions.”
CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve performance. Achieving Maturity Level 3 under dual constellations: Development (DEV) and Services (SVC) indicates the company is performing at a "defined" level, employing processes that are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods.
What our CMMI Maturity Level 3 ratings mean for our Federal customers:
- Third-party validation of our processes which matures and improves over time
- Consistencies in our organizational and delivery processes which elevates performance
- Continuous process improvement and improved service delivery
- Ongoing commitment to the highest levels of quality and overall productivity
“Achieving CMMI was a key strategic corporate initiative for 2017. This is a huge accomplishment for A-TEK, and I am thrilled that we accomplished it within the timeframe we set for ourselves. The addition of CMMI® ML 3 for DEV and SVC will serve to drive consistencies in our processes, improved service delivery to customers, and further demonstrates our commitment to quality and continuous organizational process improvement. Coupled with our ISO 9001:2008 certification, our CMMI® Institute appraisal ratings will further enhance and strengthen our ability to serve the needs of our federal government customers,” stated Kathryn Freeland, President and CEO of A-TEK, Inc.
