Grant Thornton names new national leader for Construction, Real Estate, Hospitality and Restaurants practice

Incoming national managing partner Greg Ross brings 25 years of experience to industry leadership role

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--Grant Thornton LLP has named Greg Ross national managing partner for the firm’s Construction, Real Estate, Hospitality and Restaurants (CRHR) industry practice. Ross, who currently leads the firm’s CRHR practice in the Carolinas and is sector leader for the national Real Estate practice, will assume his new role effective August 1, 2017. He succeeds Alvin Wade, who has led Grant Thornton’s CRHR industry practice since 2009.

Ross has nearly 25 years of experience serving the audit and diligence needs of construction, real estate and hospitality companies. He has worked with an array of public and private companies and has focused on new accounting implementation, financial reporting preparation and transaction services.

Ross is a certified public accountant (CPA) in North Carolina and New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Construction Financial Management Association. He also serves as an associate board member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and is a former board member and treasurer for the Urban Land Institute. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Appalachian State University.
