CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), is proud to offer Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points from the American Board of Radiology during the Annual International Congress on Future of Breast Cancer (West) on July 14 to 15 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina in California.
“We are so proud of this accomplishment. Helping doctors stay up-to-date on advances in breast cancer is an important goal of our organization. It is amazing that we are not only able to provide a space that promotes collaboration between doctors, oncologists and other healthcare professionals, but also provide self-assessment modules on this information,” said Phil Talamo, president of PER®.
American Board of Radiology serves as a not-for-profit, independent organization, and is one of the 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). The boards under ABMS work collectively to create high standards for physicians to work towards. The boards were founded by their respective specialties to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training and professional requirements.
The 16th Annual International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer® provides a platform to medical professionals to receive updates on advances in the field of breast cancer. This year’s program will also provide an opportunity for surgeons to earn Category I CME and self-assessment credits towards Part 2 of the American Board of Surgery’s MOC program and medical oncologists to earn points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s MOC program.
