Content Analytics Announces First Mover Report: Restoring Pricing Control and Transparency to Brands

Brands Can Now See Their Pricing Exactly the Same Way Retailers Do

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Content Analytics, the end-to-end eCommerce management platform, announced this week the release of its First Mover Report, a tool that allows top brands to monitor price movements across multiple retail sites. In the world of retail, eCommerce behemoths are competing on price more than ever before. Until now, brands have not had sufficient data to substantiate a conversation with those retailers when they move product pricing.

Historically, brands have not had a good response to price changes and aggressive discounting,” says David Feinleib, CEO and Founder of Content Analytics. “This report empowers brands with the data and the story they need, by tracking price changes throughout the day. It also alerts the brand so they have the data they need to warn a retailer that’s in violation of pricing policies.”

The goal: that brands, and retailers, continue to retain profit margins. “Margins are thin enough on both sides of the retail/supplier equation. We hope this helps all parties derive more value from all of their verticals, while still providing an excellent shopping experience for consumers,” Feinleib continued.

Clients can pull the report from their Content Analytics dashboard, and receive easy-to-read visual alerts every time the price changes. This removes the “who moved first?” question from the equation, allowing brands and sellers to:

  • Compare prices of identical products across multiple retailers
  • Document how often retailers moved their pricing and which retailer moved first
  • Identify, track, and monitor price changes every day, every hour or in near real-time
  • Receive alerts directly to their inbox
  • Track and monitor MAP and MSRP pricing violations
  • Improve margin opportunities

The First Mover Report complements Content Analytics’ existing MAP and MSRP pricing violation reports and is currently available in time for the pre-holiday season.

Feinleib concluded: “We’re really excited about what this could mean for brands during the busy shopping season this year. Retail has been hit hard enough. We want to see everyone close out 2017 with strong margins.”
