SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Altman Vilandrie & Company, a strategy consulting firm focused on the communications, media, and related technology sectors, has hired Ben Matthews as principal. Matthews, who is based out of the Altman Vilandrie & Company’s San Francisco office, advises the firm’s Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sector clients on a range of business and technology strategy issues.
Matthews’ client work focuses on internet infrastructure, cybersecurity and communications services. Recent engagements include advising a managed services provider on its cloud services strategy and optimizing the product and service offerings of a leading cybersecurity provider.

Prior to Altman Vilandrie & Company, Matthews was a director at the strategy consulting firm Strategy& and a Head of Strategy at telecommunications provider British Telecom, both based in London. He began his career as a consultant for McKinsey spin-off Value Partners, living and working in Dubai and Sao Paulo. Matthews earned a first-class honors degree from University College London.
