CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BrightStar Care, a national in-home care and medical staffing franchise, announced today it has expanded its senior leadership team in an effort to aid the brand’s nationwide expansion. With the recent appointment of David Campagna as the new Vice President of Franchise Development, BrightStar Care is entering a new era of growth with the goal of reaching 500 locations by 2020. With his extensive experience in the franchise industry, coupled with plans to target new and existing markets for growth, Campagna will be primarily responsible for the brand’s domestic franchise development.
Prior to joining BrightStar Care, Campagna spent over 20 years in the franchise industry and brings with him extensive experience in franchise development and sales. After spending his early days at Funny Bone Comedy Clubs where he owned and developed multiple locations, Campagna took on leadership roles at dot.com, restaurant and home healthcare franchise organizations. With his expertise in growing franchise brands and leading sales operations, Campagna plans to immediately step in and assist in achieving BrightStar Care’s goal to develop the brand through strategic and targeted growth. In addition to his extensive franchise industry and development experience, Campagna holds a Master of Business Administration from Creighton University.
“David is a key addition to our Senior Leadership Team and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge that will be vital to the success of BrightStar Care’s strategic expansion,” said Shelly Sun, CEO and Co-Founder of BrightStar Care. “As we continue to execute our brand’s development plans, David’s skills and broad experience will play a large role in helping lead BrightStar Care into the next phase of its growth journey.”
In his new position, Campagna’s day-to-day responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership and direction to the franchise sales team and creating fresh messaging to potential franchisees. He is also looking to improve and streamline the recruitment process for franchisees – from initial contact to disclosure and discovery, through agreement signing.
“BrightStar Care is at a pivotal point in its growth and there is tremendous potential for this brand. I couldn’t be happier to be joining Shelly’ team,” said Campagna. “Shelly is a true visionary and has grown the company the right way from the very beginning. My mission is to contribute to the success of BrightStar Care by identifying the right growth opportunities. Instead of simply opening locations, my focus will be on finding the right people to invest in this brand.”
BrightStar Care has more than 300 locations nationwide and recently inked its first international master franchise agreement to expand into Canada, with 65 BrightStar Care locations expected to be developed across all 10 provinces within the next five years. The brand has also put a strong focus on Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Western Europe for further international development.
