CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Chicago Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI-Chicago) congratulates chapter members who passed a rigorous examination in June to earn the Investor Relations Charter (IRC™) credential from the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI):
- Shawn C. Alcaraz, Investor Relations Advisor, Zebra Technologies Corporation
- Perry D. Grueber, Senior Advisor, PDG Advisors and former Director, Investor Relations, Wausau Paper
- Jeff Zilka, General Manager, Edelman
“We applaud NIRI-Chicago’s newest IRCs, who have demonstrated their professionalism and the depth and breadth of their investor relations knowledge through this challenging certification process,” said Dee Johnson, president, NIRI-Chicago. “Their achievement is truly a testament to the high caliber of investor relations talent in our chapter.”
The IRC was introduced in 2015 as NIRI’s first professional credential. An IRC candidate must meet educational and professional experience requirements – including a minimum of three years in IR – adhere to the IRC Code of Conduct and to NIRI’s Code of Ethics, pass the IRC exam and participate in ongoing professional development activities. The IRC program defines a common framework for IR and demonstrates the credential-holders’ knowledge, expertise and commitment to the profession.
The Chicago chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI-Chicago) provides professional development and networking opportunities to practitioners of investor relations, a strategic management responsibility that integrates finance, communication, marketing and securities law compliance.
