NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Axio, a cyber resilience optimization company that helps align technical controls and financial hedging strategies to minimize cyber risk, today announced the appointment of Daniel Hirt as its Vice President of Operations and Strategy. Hirt is responsible for building a scalable organizational structure that facilitates and sustains rapid growth.
“Dan brings exceptional operational experience and insight to Axio,” said David White, Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Axio. “Our trajectory over the past 18 months proves that organizations are looking for help to continually identify and improve their position on the cyber risk curve. With the core pieces of our cyber resilience optimization offering in place, it’s time to accelerate our growth. We’re thrilled to have someone of Dan’s caliber on board to ensure that we maximize the opportunity.”
Hirt joins Axio from TwentyEighty, where he served as Chief Transformation Officer, focusing on company-wide operational and strategy initiatives. Previously he worked as Consulting Director at Vista Consulting Group, the operating arm of Vista Equity Partners, where he led the design and drove the execution of the transformation plan for several portfolio companies. Hirt also held several executive team roles at Vista’s portfolio company Greenway Health / Vitera Healthcare Solutions, including VP Transaction Services, VP Customer Support, and Director of Strategic Programs. He started his career at Accenture, where he led consulting projects for various Fortune 500 clients, including merger and integration efforts, data center consolidations and moves, messaging system migrations, and globalization initiatives. Hirt earned his BA in Computing and Information Systems from Northwestern University, his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, and his JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
“Over the past few years I’ve had a great opportunity to observe the evolution of the cyber security landscape from an investor’s vantage point and it was apparent that something major was missing,” said Hirt. “It’s not just the reality that silver bullets don’t exist, it’s the recognition that firms need to utilize a risk-centric and integrated approach that is shared by security leaders, risk managers, senior executives, and Boards of Directors. Axio provides that missing piece and I’m thrilled to help the firm achieve its potential.”
Axio knows impenetrability is impossible – but cyber risk management maturity is within reach. We help organizations ensure that they understand their exposure, manage it effectively, and are equipped to financially recover. Axio delivers the industry’s only true cyber resilience optimization solution that looks at IT security and financial controls / insurance to create an integrated, holistic technology and financial risk solution that can evolve with each client as the risk landscape shifts.
