AHF Welcomes Dr. Hunter A. Hammill to Its Houston Medical Team

Renowned OB/GYN physician specializes in providing care to HIV positive pregnant women, transgender community

HOUSTON--()--AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is pleased to announce today that Hunter A. Hammill, M.D., FACOG has joined AHF’s Houston medical team. A graduate of Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Hammill has many years of experience providing both specialty obstetric care to expectant HIV positive mothers as well as HIV outpatient medical care to all demographics of people living with HIV/AIDS. Dr. Hammill will continue to see patients through his medical practice located at 7400 Fannin Street Suite 1118 Houston TX 77054, adjacent to the Women’s Hospital of Texas. “I am truly excited to join with AHF in our efforts to provide the highest quality care to people living with HIV in the Houston area,” said Dr. Hammill. “Through our partnership, we’ll be able to help more HIV positive pregnant women have healthy babies and also continue to support them as their families grow.”

Dr. Hammill’s practice augments AHF’s local presence that is currently providing comprehensive medical care and treatment to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Houston area through its AHF Binz Street Healthcare Center located 1200 Binz Street, Suite 1290, Houston TX 77004, led by Dr. Benjamin Portnoy. Appointments can be scheduled for the Binz Street location by calling 713-524-8700.

AHF’s Wellness Center also offers free, walk-in screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea, at the Binz Street location on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. No appointment necessary.
