In the project that earned OnProcess a spot in the Top 100, the company transformed the client’s device recovery process for disconnecting customers, including instituting a communications program that improved returns without alienating consumers. OnProcess proactively reached out to the client’s customers, using different tactics for voluntary and non-pay disconnects. Leveraging advanced analytics to detect recovery trends and exceptions, OnProcess identified the best points in the recovery process to insert communications for each group, and which type of communications would be most effective at each time. They tweaked the process, as needed, based on ongoing analyses and used Voice of Customer insights to continually enhance agents’ talking points and communications strategies. As a result of all this, OnProcess’ client gained a 14-point lift in device returns from voluntary disconnected customers to 95%, and an 18-point lift in non-pay recovery. They also avoided $60 million in annual CapEx spending on new devices, since assets weren’t stranded in the field and could, therefore, be repurposed.
