NICOSIA, Cyprus--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A farm management system, Cropio, announces the launch of a new feature for their iOS application, called Augmented Reality.
According to the N.S.T. New Science Technologies Ltd. spokesperson, Cropio’s research and development team has created a feature that allows the company’s clients to request and receive a complex and detailed information about the conditions of any of their fields by doing as little as pointing their iOS-based mobile device directly onto either one or a several fields.
“A single motion of directing a camera of the device our clients use will allow all the necessary data to be projected to the field image on their screen, creating an augmented reality effect, as we call it.” – Anna Moren, Cropio product director.
The Augmented Reality for Cropio’s iOS application works based on a complex combination of factors: user’s geographical location data, spatial characteristics of a mobile device, the coordinates of the field and field’s relief.
Cropio’s science center claims that Augmented Reality iOS feature allows users to get a visual picture of all given fields within a 6 miles radius from a current user’s location.
The system displays static data for each field: name, processed area, crops, variety, sowing and harvesting dates, etc.
The N.S.T. New Science Technologies spokesperson also states, that the users of Cropio iOS application will also have access to a number of dynamic indicators on crops health.
