PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) was recently named to Forbes’ Most Innovative Growth Companies list for 2017. Tyler was cited by Forbes among 100 companies investors could expect to be innovative now and in the future.
According to Forbes, companies were ranked by their innovation premium, or the difference between their market capitalization and the net present value of cash flows from existing businesses. Investors use this difference to predict if a company will continue to create profitable new growth.
“We are pleased to once again be recognized by Forbes for our innovative business practices, consistent growth and sustainable investments,” said Lynn Moore, president of Tyler Technologies. “This recognition highlights our commitment to bringing best-in-class solutions to our more than 15,000 local government clients, and building the digital infrastructure to create thriving connected communities.”
Tyler Technologies, which ranked No. 24 on the 2016 list, moved up to No. 22 this year on the Most Innovative Growth Companies list, and joins other firms that met Forbes’ ranking requirements, including having at least seven years of public financial data, and a market capitalization of between $2 billion and $10 billion. The Forbes list focused on industries known for investing in innovation, including making measurable research-and-development expenditures.
